Why do we ask for your location?

Your location must be saved before the backup code is shown. We store the coordinates provided by your browser, the reported accuracy and the time, and look up the nearest address using the National Land Survey of Finland. The coordinates are sent to that service for the address lookup. Your location does not currently need to be near the dog forest. If location permission is denied or saving fails, the backup code is not shown.
